Manufacturing made in Portugal

What is there between luxury and cheap clothes these days? Not much...

While Sebastian was looking for some essential models, he noticed that either the quality was lower or the price was outrageous. So why not fill this gap by creating a high-end brand at an affordable price?

This is where the story began. Sébastien decided to create quality products, made close to home, in Portugal. There, the seamstresses, heirs of a know-how passed down from generation to generation, pay meticulous attention to every detail. All the pieces are made with passion and expertise, guaranteeing impeccable finishes and exceptional durability.

This artisanal approach, combined with local and ethical production, allows us to offer clothing that not only meets the highest quality standards, but also those of a fair price. This is our brand promise: to offer the best of both worlds, without compromise.

History

Assignment

The yarn we use (as well as our prints) has obtained a number of environmental certifications: Eco Cert, Oeko Tex Standard 100, Global Organic Textile Standard,..

CERTIFIED TEXTILES

We have chosen organic and environmentally friendly materials for all our clothing. Beyond their quality, we have ensured that our clothing is very durable through rigorous testing.

- Organic cotton

- Recycled cotton

- Vegetable dyes

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CLOTHES

Our clothes didn't travel around the world to arrive at your door. They remain in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain and are manufactured in Portugal. This ensures local distribution and local impact.

Our clothes do not travel more than 4,500 km before arriving at your home, which is ten times less than those produced in Asia (45,000 km on average).

LOCAL DISTRIBUTION

Everyone who participated in the creation of your garment lives and works in Portugal. This guarantees comprehensive social protection, health care, decent wages and good working conditions. We need to value the people who make our clothes.

Our Portuguese workshops are friendly, family workshops where everyone knows each other, where music plays and the atmosphere is conducive to good relationships and sharing skills. This means that products can be developed in which every detail is considered with the greatest care.

ETHICAL PRODUCTION

we offer the highest quality and fair prices all year round. This commitment reflects our commitment to providing our customers with the best value without compromising the superior quality and ethical practices that define us. We believe in a transparent and honest approach to pricing, ensuring that you always get the best possible quality at the best possible price. Honest prices, real value - every time.

FAIR PRICES

We do not follow fashion trends and create new designs every season. Instead, we offer a permanent, year-round collection. This means we can spend more time rethinking every detail of our essential clothing. Our products will not only last through wear, but survive the changing tides of fashion.

BUILT TO LAST

USUEL stands out for its rejection of conventional paths, opting instead for a path where quality takes precedence. Our mission, both simple and ambitious, is to design a range of essential items embodying the pinnacle of quality, without any compromise.

In our design process, we took a radical approach: eliminating anything superfluous that doesn't provide tangible value, in order to focus our resources on what really matters.

We pride ourselves on offering genuine, high quality items, available at prices well below those typically associated with similar quality. Our pricing policy is transparent: we avoid exorbitant margins to make luxury accessible to everyone.

Unlike most premium brands, we are committed to always offering the best quality at the best price. How do we achieve this? By eliminating middlemen and adopting a streamlined distribution model. We sell online from our warehouse, which allows us to keep our margins at a reasonable level, generally between 2 and 3 times rather than the 6 to 8 times usually seen.

Every step of our process is carefully designed to disrupt established norms in the fashion industry. We refuse to compromise on quality and we refuse to charge our customers excessive margins. We believe in the accessibility of luxury, and it is this conviction that guides each of our actions. We are committed to bringing you the best of the best, without the exorbitant prices often associated with name brands.
